Horfield Organic Community Orchard (HOCO)
Originally set up by Avon Organic Group in 1998, the orchard is now managed as an independent community food project.
Bristol Local Food Network
An umbrella group, made up of individuals, community projects, organisations and businesses who share a vision to transform Bristol into a sustainable food city.
Feed Bristol is Avon Wildlife Trust's community food-growing project in Stapleton, Bristol. The project enables a wide diversity of people across Bristol to access and value the natural world through learning how to grow food using wildlife-friendly methods.
St George Park Community Garden
St George Park, Bristol 5, is open 24/7 and the Community Garden can be found on the old bandstand near the lake and kiosk. Volunteers are always welcome to the regular, year round work sessions growing vegetables, fruit and flowers for the general public to sample.
Yatton Area Bee Project
YABeeP continues to meet locally in North Somerset and although the website is for the time being not being updated it remains live as a continuing valuable resource for visitors to the site. The aim of the project is to provide support to individuals and families who want to encourage both wild and honey bees and maybe keep bees themselves whilst advocating the use of bee-friendly, natural beekeeping methods. Where our members keep honeybees they do so primarily for the benefit of the bees themselves, not in order to exploit them for forced honey production or personal profit.
